I’m running for the Lee Hill School Board because I believe our students, families, educators, and community deserve strong leadership—leadership built on common-sense, transparency, integrity, and action. I bring the experience and dedication necessary to help ensure every student reaches their full potential.
I’ve always believed in serving something bigger than myself. Back in 2007, when military recruitment was falling short and 'stop-loss' policies were keeping soldiers in uniform longer than planned, I had just graduated college. Instead of sitting on the sidelines, I chose to enlist in the U.S. Army—hoping my service might allow someone else to come home.
After four deployments serving our country, I returned home with a deep sense of purpose to make a difference locally. I began supporting a range of non-profits, advisory boards, and youth programs. Each opportunity giving me a deeper understanding of our community’s needs and strengthening my ability to lead, collaborate, and connect with others.
In 2020, as the mental health crisis among young people continued to grow, I knew I had to do something. I went back to school to earn a degree in social work so I could help kids facing real challenges. That journey brought me to Chancellor Elementary, where I interned as a school social worker. I worked directly with students, families, and educators to make sure kids had the support they needed to thrive—both emotionally and academically.
That brings us to today.
Our schools are facing real challenges such as teacher and staff shortages and School Board dysfunction that has taken the focus away from what really matters - our students. And just like before, I was not going to sit back and hope someone else steps up. I’m running for School Board because I care deeply about our students, our schools, and our community—and I believe we need honest, transparent, student-first leadership now more than ever.
With your support and your vote on November 4th, we can build that stronger future for our students. I’m ready to do the hard work, listen to voices from all sides, and always put this community first—because that’s that type of person I am, and that’s the type of leadership our students deserve.
A vote for me is a vote for common-sense leadership and a shared vision—where every student has the opportunity to succeed. Together, To the Top!
