Costs of Running a Campaign

Have you ever wondered what goes into a campaign?

Yard signs can cost $5–$10 each. Larger signs are even more expensive. Mailing campaign literature can run into the thousands when you factor in printing and postage. Even canvassing materials for going door-to-door can add up to hundreds of dollars.

That’s why I’m reaching out: I need your support to run a strong campaign.

I could take out a $15,000 loan—but if I were a voter, I’d also ask: Why is a candidate spending tens of thousands of dollars of their own money on a job that pays less than that?

I also recognize that in Spotsylvania, 46% of our students are considered economically disadvantaged. That means many families are already facing financial stress, and I don’t take that lightly.

If you're able, please consider contributing $5, $50, or even $100 to help us reach voters and share our message. Every dollar makes a difference—not just to the campaign, but to the future of our schools and students.

I heard a quote recently about making small deposits every day for a big withdrawal later. That speaker was talking about discipline and growth—the idea that effort adds up over time.

In this case, your contribution is a deposit: in our schools, our community, and our shared future. It signals to others that there are people standing behind this campaign—not just in words, but in action.

Our schools have faced a lot over the past several years. Let’s come together to ensure their best days are ahead.

Thank you for your support.
