sPower Solar Power Project Update

At the February 17th Planning Commission meeting, County staff stated that the sPower project has generated $50,000-$60,000 (per month) in third-party fees for inspectors to ensure Code compliance. To date, sPower has not paid these costs, which was a requirement of their Special Use Permit approval. County Administration is reportedly working to address this issue, and it was unclear at the meeting how much of a tab the County has paid to date for these inspectors.
