The Spotsylvania Planning Commission will meet on August 19th at 5:00 p.m. on the third floor of the Merchant Square Building for a work session that is open to the public.
The Work Session agenda items are below.
Rezoning: Benchmark Road Investments, LLC Afton Villas (Battlefield District): The applicant proposes developing 77 age-restricted single-family attached homes located at 4105, 4107, 4109, 4113, 4121 and 4125 Mine Road (RT. 636) and are approximately 736 feet west of the intersection with Lansdowne Road (RT. 638).

There is one public hearings scheduled:
Special Use Permit: Spotsylvania County (Department of Public Utilities/Works) Courtland District The request is for approval to exceed the Floor area ratio (FAR) of the R-1 Zoning district by 5% (1903 square feet) with a proposed 3,800 square foot addition to Fire Station #6 for additional bunk rooms and storage. Fire and Rescue Station #6 is located at 5700 General Semmes Road. Staff recommends approval.
