February 19, 2020 - Planning Commission Meeting (WITH VIDEO LINK)

The Spotsylvania Planning Commission will meet on February 19th at 7:00 p.m. in the Holbert Building.

Separate from public hearings, there is one unfinished business item, one Special Use Permit (SUP) Vote, and a County Comprehensive Plan work session scheduled.

  • The Unfinished Business Item provides the Planning Commission with information about Multi-Family Homes in the County.

  • The SUP application vote is on the Classic Auto Sales business located at 8900 Courthouse road in the Livingston District. This SUP was originally presented to the Planning Commission on January 15th, 2020 and the vote was tabled until this meeting to gather more information.

  • The County Comprehensive Plan work session covers Public Facilities Chapter for Schools. School officials plan to participate in this work session.

There is one public hearing scheduled:

  • R19-0004: Rappahannock Development Group/Harrison Road, LLC (Courtland District) This proposal requests to rezone 24 acres from Residential 1 (R-1) to Planned Development Housing District 3 (PDH-3). The proposal currently consists of not more than 73 single-family detached dwellings, with a maximum density of approximately 3 units per acre located at 5601 Harrison Road. Staff recommends approval of R19-0004 with the proffered conditions dated December 2, 2019.
