Today, Sarah and I attended the Rock the Block event hosted by Dollars For Doorbells and the Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office - Roger L. Harris Sheriff. Dollars for Doorbells is a Veteran founded non-profit with a mission to improve communities one needy family at a time. Their main goal is to “supply rent/mortgage free homes to families that have endured hard times.” Homelessness is a notable problem in Spotsy as anyone can observe driving down parts of the Route 1 corridor. Additionally, a child without a stable home environment faces compounding challenges that get increasingly difficult to overcome as they age. This is one of the reasons that Sarah and I were excited to come out and support Dollars for Doorbells. Take a moment to learn more about their efforts to make the community a better place.
