As I reviewed the Spotsylvania Planning Department website, I came across a proposed 28 single family detached home sub-division on Mine road called Afton. The proposed location is between the electric transmission lines and Norfolk way.
I won’t go into too much commentary only to say that when I’ve spoken to residents that use Norfolk way, Meadowview drive and Circle One drive they expressed their safety challenges exiting their neighborhoods onto Mine Road. I would be very interested to see the total traffic safety mitigation tools of this proposal so that future home buyers of this proposed sub-division would not have to deal with a similar issue.
