The Spotsylvania Board of Supervisors will meet on April 6th at 6:00 p.m. at Massaponax High School.
There are two companion public hearings scheduled; both involve the Team Crucible project located in the Berkeley District.
Rezoning: Radio Reconnaissance Technologies, Inc. (Team Crucible, LLC) (Berkeley District) The applicant request rezoning approximately 70 acres with proffers for the development of a security training facility that teaches security techniques utilizing firearms and simulated IEDs. The complex will include two office buildings totaling approximately 55,300 square feet, a firing range, an outdoor rally course, an outdoor sea container scenario area, a tactical entry training center, and an emergency helicopter landing pad. The property is addressed as 6116 Jefferson Davis Hwy approximately 3,500 feet south of Mudd Tavern Road (Route 606). Planning Department request staff recommends denial of the project. On March 3rd after little discussion or debate that Planning Commission voted 7-0 to recommend denial of this project.
