March 23, 2021 - Board of Supervisors Meeting (WITH VIDEO LINK)

The Spotsylvania Board of Supervisors will meet on March 23rd at 6:00 p.m. at the Holbert Building.

There are three public hearings scheduled:

  • Rezoning: Chancellor Ridge - Chancellor District: The rezoning will allow for the development of 64 single family detached homes. The project is adjacent to Ashley Park and represents a continuing of single-family detached homes along the north line of Old Plank between Andora Drive and Chancellor Road. The property is on the south side of Five Mile Road and addressed as 12300 Five Mile Road (Route 675) and is approximately 730 feet north of the intersection with Plank Road (Route 3). Staff recommends approval with proffers. On January 6th, the Planning Commission voted 5-2 (Thompson and Lane) to recommend approval.

  • Rezoning: KW Commercial, LLC (Bonaventure Investments, LLC) - Lee Hill District: The applicant proposes to build 50 age-restricted units and a 4-story building with 147 multi family units. Overall the project totals 197 units and is located at the intersection of Spotsylvania Avenue and Market Street. Staff is recommending approval. On February 17th, the Planning Commission voted 7-0 to recommend approval.

  • Code Amendment 14-10 Camping Ordinance: On March 3rd, the Planning Commission voted 7-0 to strike the camping ordinance. Click here to read Scott Shenk’s Free Lance-Star article for more details.
