Man Shot by Spotsylvania Deputy is Released From Hospital

Although Isaiah Brown has some tough days of rehab ahead, this is good news for him and his family.

On this same topic, at a recent Board of Supervisors meeting, the Spotsylvania NAACP President called on each Supervisor to acknowledge and think about how incidents that have plagued other communities across the nation, has now occurred in Spotsylvania. In response, only Supervisors Frazier and Jett made any substantive comments. Why is that? This is an issue that regardless of what the investigation concludes has the potential to divide and fracture our community. These are the times we need leaders in our community, even if it is just to let the community know they are paying attention while positioning themselves to serve as an honest broker to mitigate any potential fallout. Our leaders seem all too eager to embrace the spotlight when things are going well, only to evade it when things go poorly.

In contrast, I will continue to keep you informed as this process and investigation continues.
