At 7pm on December 9th at the Fredericksburg Academy (10725 Academy Drive), Benchmark Road Investments LLC is hosting a community meeting to present their plans to build 77 age-restricted single-family attached units between the electrical lines on Mine Road and Norfolk Way (map is below).
In December 2017, the County rezoned these same parcels to build 29 single-family detached homes estimated to be worth 300-350,000 with an estimated project build out of 3 years. The Planning Commission approved this rezoning request 6-1. On December 12, 2017, the Board approved the rezoning request 6-1 (Supervisor Benton opposed).
