Throughout this campaign, my opponent, Mr. Lieberman, has repeatedly claimed that he is the only candidate who has consistently advocated for our schools. But the facts simply do not support that claim.
Mr. Lieberman claims to have supported Spotsy Schools for nearly 30 years — yet he didn’t speak at a single Board of Supervisors meeting on their behalf until after his election loss in 2021.That’s not consistent advocacy; that’s convenient timing.
By contrast, I’ve been showing up and speaking out for years. I publicly advocated for our schools during the county budget hearings in 2016 and again in 2018. In 2019, I also stood in support of fair, market-based compensation for all county employees — because supporting our workforce is critical to building strong schools and a strong community.
I’ve even uploaded my remarks from March 2018, which clearly reflect the same priorities I continue to champion today. In fact, those remarks echo what I said back in 2016: we must invest in our schools and our people if we want to move this county forward.
Lee Hill, our community deserves honest leadership — not political games and false narratives. So I ask: How can our students and educators succeed under a leader willing to mislead the public just to win?
Real progress starts with truth, accountability, and a proven record of standing up for the community — not manipulative tactics.
