The Spotsylvania Board of Supervisors will meet on February 26th at 4:30 p.m. at Spotsylvania High School Auditorium.
The only agenda items are the three sPower Special Use Permits in the Livingston voting district.
SUP18-0001 - Sustainable Property Holdings, LLC (sPower Solar Energy Facility Site A) (Livingston Voting District)
SUP18-0002 - Sustainable Property Holdings, LLC (sPower Solar Energy Facility Site B) (Livingston Voting District)
SUP18-0003 - Sustainable Property Holdings, LLC (sPower Solar Energy Facility Site C) (Livingston Voting District)
The Planning Department recommended approval of all three applications with conditions. A recap from the January 16, 2019 Planning Commission Meeting is below.
SUP18-0001 - 400MW Site A vote 5-2 (Carter and Maddox) to recommend denial.
SUP18-0002 - 30MW Site B vote 4-3 (Smith, Thompson, Bullock) to recommend approval.
SUP18-0003 - 70MW Site C vote 4-3 (Carter, Medina, and Maddox) to recommend denial.
Final conditions forwarded to Board of Supervisors included no burning, no ground water use, no use of cadmium telluride solar panels, and consistent 350 foot buffer from neighboring property lines.
